Help is needed in missing speargun

I need help from anyone who might have came a across or heard about finding a floating spear gun w/o shaft in the golf of mexico near the panama city beach / fortwalton/ destin Fl. area depending on how far it may have drifted. I am lucky enough to have a wonderful girlfriend who purchased a oceanrhino 52 inch commercial spear gun for my birthday which she saved up for quite some time. She totally surprised me with it yesterday on the boat. i made 3 dives with it yesterday and never fired it. today we went out and i fired it once because i just wanted to, and got a flounder. (just wanted to see how it fired so please dont harrass me about speargunning a flounder haha) on the second dive she also wanted to see how it fired so she took it down and also got a flounder. Seeing that we are both new to the spearfishing community were not aware of the spear gun w/o a shaft becomes positively bouyant and that is just what happened after sitting the gun on the sand and bagging the fish the gun was gone. She feels absolutly horrible and i know the chances are slim of getting it return but i have to try. we were sitting on bridge span 1 off of panama city beach with a slow westward current. any information leading to a return of the gun will be rewarded. I checked over on spearboard.com but didn't see anything about a found gun.

thank you so much for everyone helping out! Unfort still no positive lead.s We are new to the scubaboard and i cant beleve how caring and helpful the dive community really are towards strangers they have never met. we are proud to be part of this elite group of people.
