Help identifying a "critter"

Diving today the water was filled with these tiny little creatures. I didn't have a camera, so I did my best to draw their basic features (see pic below). Each was 1/4 - 1/2" long, so really small and there were hundreds if not thousands of them floating freely in the water column. Color was mottled brown and they had "horns" at one end as well as small "protrusions" on the rest of the body. The middle of each was a small "bulb" and the body was curled up ( a few were unfurlled into a half moon shape as pictured)

Any ideas?

That is exactly what they looked like - funny thing is I was going to tell one of the guests that they were "sea hares" as a joke (I didn't know there was such a thing lol) I didn't notice any on the sea floor, just floating with all the other "stuff" in the water column.

Good link too - it's amazing how many "critters" are out there :)
