Hi all,

I’m new to Scubaboard but I’ve been creeping and reading for a while now. I recently got back into diving after a fairly long hiatus. I’m currently shopping for equipment. A coworker of mine is selling this computer. Only problem is that he has no documentation and can’t remember the exact model. To me it looks closest to a Cobra 2 or 3, but the red and black dotted bar on the left side is inverted from all the pics I’ve seen online (red on top instead of bottom), and it seems odd that it’s mounted in a full console given that the Cobra 2 and 3 are air integrated and have a built in compass. Has anyone ever seen either of those computers mounted like this. Also, can anyone positively identify which one it is?

Regards,
Corey

Zoop Novo

Are you sure? In the images I’ve found the Zoop Novo looks different. The Bezel curves around the buttons, rather than being straight edges, and the black and red dotted bars on the sides are full circles, rather than the half circles on this device.

Not sure of anything. Is the price right?

Perhaps. Still not identical though. This is the trouble I’ve been having. The price is good. I’d just like to know exactly what I’m buying.

I was thinking Vyper 2. But enough speculation... open the back of the console and check the side of the module/puck for a printed name. Once the back is off, you might even be able to see it without fully removing it. I know that's where a Vyper 2 is labeled, hopefully all models are similarly marked.

How much "more identical" did you need? Turn on the display and check for the PDC's "about" info. That's a sure way to do it. Remember that the one in my pic doesn't have the scratch guard attached.
