The first stage is very compact, it has one HP port on the body and one LP port on the top of the turret. That's it, two ports total.

The second stage is non adjustable and has a serial no. just below 123,000. The exhaust valve is shrivled but otherwise this rig still works.

There is no pressure stamp on the yoke so I'm guessing it was made for steel 72's.

Any information on this regulator would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike S

Some pictures would be good, but from your description it sounds like an early Mk-1.

The Mk-1 was a flow through piston similar to the Mk-5, but it only had one low pressure port.

At first it was introduced with the non-adjustable second stage.

Take a look at this web site to see pictures of most Scubapro regulators. You should be able to identify it there.

Thanks Luis,

it's a MK-1 Gen 2 first stage with an R-108 second stage. All I need now is an exhaust valve. Any idea where to look for Scubapro parts?

Thanks again,

Mike S

Exhaust valves are still supported by scubapro. I believe the part number is 11.109.128. But the exhaust-t can be a problem so be gentle with it. If you run into a problem, PM me and I'll see what I can find. Where are you in central TX?

Awap,

thanks for the info, I'm in San Antonio.

Do you do any rig diving? We go out with Capt. Mike Miglini on the Orion in the fall sometimes.

Where are you located?

I too have an old model, I think it is an MK2, one high pressure port on the end, and one low pressure port below the attachment to the tank. I bought it in 1971 or 1972, never had a problem with it. Used in all over the world, now they tell me I can get parts. This is when they were made of metal that screwed together the 2nd stage, not a plastic tie wrap. The second stage adjustment screw chrome still looks pretty good. I bought a new first stage diaphram-balanced, and now I have no second stage. I really like the second stage, mine has a serial number. My BCD has a new built in Octo, and I have no second stage.

It also sounds like a Mk-1, but I think you have confused the HP and LP port locations.

Take a look at the links I provided above. You can look at some pictures that will help you identify it.

Looking at the pictures, I have a MK-1-Gen-2. I think the second stage is a 109, I can't tell, the serial # is 910534. Proud owner for 37 years, but can I get the second stage overhauled? I just bought a new Balanced-Diaghram first stage.

If it has an adjustment knob it is an R109. If not it is probably an R108.

Odds are that unless it has been upgraded it is still an R109 "Adjustable" and in either case it can still be serviced - and still breathes very well even by new reg standards.

Any idea who would service this, the dive shop in Austin TX said no, ScubaToys said no. It is a 109 adjustable
