I lost one day last week to rain. But man, did it rain at night. Wow. Trip report to follow as soon as I can dig myself out of work.

I'm planning on pulling the trigger in the next 48 hours for a trip to roatan and utila from roughly 12/19-1/3. It will be my first time there. Is this a bad idea and wasted trip? I dont mind a few days being nixed or some rain but if >/= 50% of days will be scrapped, I dont want to waste my time and money.

We were in Roatan last November - rainiest month. It rained every day except the day we arrived, sometimes very hard. We didn't miss a dive. It's never raining underwater. It did cut down the light thus the visibility and a few times after really hard rains the top 20' was murk, but we still had fun diving.
