Hi James, I want to rank you, double clicked on the ratings, and it ranked you two stars! So IOW's, I screwed up! I don't rank video's... ever... So I apologize, but their system seems a bit messed up. I can't seem to change this rating...

No worries Ron. I don't think that the rating particularly matters at this point of the process. The top 50 candidates are going to be chosen directly from the Tourism Queensland panel, but I did figure that the views and ranking could help them make a decision. The official voting starts on March 2 after they announce the top 50 candidates. From there they are going to choose 10 candidates + 1 candidate will be chosen based upon popular vote for a interview in Australia. Bottom line, don't feel too bad about it. Thank you for ranking the video!

You don't have to take my place. You can come visit though! I mean after all, who wants to be stuck on an island for 6 months and spending everyday on the water? :mooner:

With just two days before the application deadline, there are over 11,000 applicants and my video is currently ranked at 160!

What a week! Over the past few days a huge team of trained and dedicated Tourism Queensland staff have been working literally around the clock to make sure every one of the 34,684 video applications we received for the Best Job in the World by the closing date has been processed. This phase has now been completed and we're moving into the next exciting stage - short listing.

On Thursday February 26 (Queensland time) a pool of applicants will be contacted via email to undertake online psychometric testing for potential short listing into the Top 50. We'll then publicise the Top 50 next Monday 2 March at 11.59pm UTC. So stay tuned!
