It's common to remove the adjustable plastic ring from Light Monkey helmets and wear a thin hood...or thick hood if need be.
Then they fit almost anyone.

As for helmet lights, mounting and blinding your buddies...
There's a simple solution. I use the Razor helmet light mounts. They allow you to angle the beam ahead and downward very quick and easy. Just spin it a little. And you can remove and replace the light in a couple seconds if you want to hold in your hand.

I recommend a multi use helmet, such as this one. You can zip tie your lights to it, and the horns act like curb feelers as you swim along. Also works as slow buddy motivation, and can be used as a fish stringer in a pinch.

As a caver and cave diver, I wear a helmet at all times while dry caving but I do not wear a helmet while cave diving (for obvious reasons).

That being said, I've mounted a million different lights on a dozen different helmets. All you need is some Velcro, a drill to make holes in the helmet, and zip ties. It doesn't matter what type of helmet.
