Hi, I'm posting here for the first time, hope to pick up a few pointers and scratch my SCUBA itch until the water here rises above the freezing point! I am a novice in this sport, having only gotten my c-card in November. (Great trip in Nov. to Whidbey Isle.-big octopus') (octopii?) A truly otherworldly experience, I am dedicated to continuing. Limited time and money mean diving Montana, means cold water! Luckily I am well-insulated... Any other divers from mountain country here? Thanks in advance. Tim.

What part of Montana are you from? The diving is pretty scarce in eastern Montana and I was amazed to discover that Billings has two dive shops on my last visit there.

Hello DA Aquamaster! I live in Missoula, on the western side of the divide. There are two dive shops here as well, and I'd have say we're closer to many dive sites than Buildings is, although the Yellowstone is probably pretty deep in spots. I may go snorkeling in a local river next weekend. ( If it's as nice as it was today) Can you point me towards any cold water threads on this board?
Thanks, Tim.

Howdy!
