I just learned about Scubaboard this afternoon. I believe this will be a great way to communicate with others having the same interest. I am Rescue Diver Certified and Dive in Virginia and the wrecks at Hatteras, NC. I go to Florida every year and dive the keys, springs and the gulf for sharks teeth. Im really most interested in real wrecks and not the artificial reefs.

Where in VA are you located? Some of us in the NC forum dive over at Rawlings sometimes. I have yet to make it over there but will on the next trip. Our group just did the springs in February too. If you're close by you're welcome to join up with us sometime.

Welcome to SB !

I live near Charlottesville, and I go to Lake Rawlings a couple of times a year because the water is so clear. Im going to Hatteras in June and will dive the triangle wrecks(weather and visibilty permitting). I went their last year and visibility was about 50' saw a couple of Bulls that were pretty cool. My main goal there this year is to dive the Proteus and U-352.

Hello and Welcome to ScubaBoard.com :eyebrow:

You're certainly diving some of my favorite dive sites.

You may enjoy SB even more if you'll complete your dive info. ;)

have fun, don :cowboy:

Welcome to the board. Check out the Florida Conch Divers Forum the next time you plan on coming to Florida. You may find a dive already set up....

I just got back from our Mega dive in Ginnie Springs. I can see how people can get lost and disoriented inside those caves. Hence, the importance of proper training.
