Hello fellow divers! I'm a chiropractor at the Universal City Medical Wellness Group here in LA.
Just had little girl 10 months ago & we're taking our 1st dive trip with the baby to Cozumel in the first week of June. We're staying at the Iberostar Cozumel...any suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated!
Also just ordered NEW gear...I had my reg & BC for 14YEARS! Breathing through my trusty old Sherwood reg below 100 was like suckin' air through a straw! Bought the Atomic T2 reg & SSI octo, DiveRite transpac travel wing BC, Atomic bio-filter moisture system thingy, Hydro Optix mask and gonna get a Suunto D9. If this stuff lasts half as long as my old I'll be happy. Got everything from Hollywood Divers...a fantastic dive shop run by great people who love to dive.
So I'm going from ultra cheap, simple, and old (but I did get my gear serviced annually!) to high end and more complex. Gonna do a couple of check out dives with the new stuff so that I don't drown trying to figure it all out in Mexico. If you haven't seen the Hydro-Optix mask yet you'll laugh if you see one with the glasses on...TRULY GEEKY...just hope it works & doesn't leak too much.
Any suggestions/recommendations on any of the above gear would also be greatly appreciated!
Good and SAFE diving to you all!
