I have lurked on this board for a while and decided to post so I could get rid of the message.
I am addicted to this sport, as many of you are. My local diving sites are usually the cold dark waters of mine pits. Either in Crosby mn. or Black River Fall in a pit lake called Wazee.
Wazee can be a little clearer on deeper dives (120' +) Crsoby is closer to home by about 1 1/2 hours. Wazee you have to pat to dive and only has 6 sites. (1-2 and 3, left or right) This gets boring. Crosby on the other hand has lots of sites and is free. They also have a lot more fish life on the shallower dives. There are pro's and cons about both. I happen to like Crosby better, but get to Wazee 3-4 times a year.
It is ironic that with all of our lakes up here we still dive the pits. The algae is a problem. Vis is not that good.
I said I'm addicted and thats true. I was certified in June of 2000. Became a Dive-master in 2001. This summer I will hit 500 dives. I quit counting OW2 dives years ago. So I think I'm doing pretty good.
So a hearty HELLO to all of you
