Kleber Verraes:Hi Dani I am from Brazil, How is diving in your region? I was in Spain some years ago (loret del Mra and toss del mar) near the French mediterranean border. I loved the place the water was very clear. Do you have wrecks in your region?
Hi Kleber,
My city is in the same side as LLoret de Mar, a bit souther.
I´m going to tell you a story of wrecks in my region. During the II War World, two german submarines were watching this part of the Mediterranean Sea, important because is one of the biggest ways of sailing, is next to the Strait of Gibraltar.
We don´t know exacty how many boats were sunk, at least 20. We usually visit 5. Besides a wreck is always a technical dive, this wrecks are in sand bottom, about 45-50 metres down, in open water and you can often find stong currents. But they are incredibles!
The most famous is probably the one called Carbonero (carbon=coal). Its name was Thordissa, is 100 metres in length and with a variety of life fish fascinating, a conger of 8 metres!!!
I'll keep on...
Clear water for you!
