Yes, MissyP. Casino Point is probably the easiest shore dive on the West Coast with stairs leading right into the water. On a busy weekend there may be several hundred divers in the water (which can pose its own problems of course). If you can't find a buddy and are willing to pay the cost, you can arrange for a guided dive with one of the instructors from SCUBA Luv or Catalina Divers Supply.
