I am new to scuba diving, I have only gone on one dive and I loved it. A friend of mine (Kristi Hager) told me about this site and about the dives so I thought I would join.

Welcome to Scuba Board and our wonderful addiction!

Now that you've tried one dive you'll probably be looking for a course, gear and travel ;) Mosey around the site as there is lots of information and you'll probably even find divers in your area who can help with local knowledge.

Have a great time and please let me know if I can help with anything!

Hi Natalie.

Welcome to the board and to the world of diving. I'm sure your love of the underwater world will increase with each dive.

Come on over to the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew forum under the clubs section of the board. We're a wonderful group of people, if I do say so myself!. Jump right in and make yourself at home.

Hello welcome to the board. Its always nice to see a fellow buckeye on the site. I'm from london which is about 23 miles west of columbus. I currently live in Boston better diving on the coast then in central Ohio. Good luck

Hello Miss Buckeye,
I'm a new Ohio diver also. There are several quarries near Toledo/Findley that are popular Ohio dive destinations.Check out New Diver Magazine. There is a page where you can find local dive spots. In the winter some divers go to Mount Storm in WV. There is a power plant there that keeps the warm all year.(about 60 in the winter)
Good luck and be safe,
Dave (Canton,Ohio)

Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!
If you'll click ScubaBoard.com above, you'll be taken to our long list of forums, a wealth of information and resources. At the bottom, be sure to notice the Local & Singles Dive Club forums.

And good on Kristi for sending you this way. I think you'll like it, too!

It would help in future diving discussions if you'd complete your Profile with location - and separately - your Dive Info. You can use the Quick Links in the bar above for such changes. And sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message." :thumb:

From one Buckeye to another, welcome!

Perhaps I'll see you at one of the local quarries. (when the weather is warm, of course)

This is a really fun board. Enjoy!
