WHoA OhIo - I think the Zoo in Toledo has a diver program. Check them out. Great way to get wet and stay sharp - in water that you can see through.

Then come to hawaii. It is awesome!

Welcome to ScubaBoard. Good to have you here with us. You will find answers to most of your questions here. This is a great place to meet people in your local area to dive with. Enjoy the board.

Greetings from yet another Buckeye! I'm in north central Ohio (Bucyrus) and wanted to welcome you to ScubaBoard! Enjoy.

Welcome to Scuba Board. Go Bucks!

With all due respect to Fish Janitor - Lineguppie (in Marietta) is much, much closer to the Newport Aquarium and the Cincinnati Aquarium than she is Toledo and I do not think Toledo has an aquarium open to divers. However, I have a lot of friends who volunteer to dive at Newport Aquarium and one of them gave me a 'behind the scenes" tour. What an awesome place! The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium also accepts volunteer divers but their ranks are pretty closed.

Thanks Jchoby for the web sites.
Have you taken any of their trips? If so, how where they? I'm from the south eastern end of Ohio (Marietta) We have formed a couple of groups down here. If you are interested in seeing these sites let me know, it has to be by invitation to keep the spams out, I'll direct u to where you need to go.
We are always looking for more to join.
We also have a shop here in Parkersburg WV that takes a couple of trips thourgh out the year, a lot of people from all over Ohio & West Virginia go on it. Sometimes up to 50 people. It is a well liked trip. www.scubawv.com

Can't beat Key Largo for a :newbie: Shop for a charter that puts a DM in on dives. ;)

If you haven't yet, click Forums above and start going thru the list - looking for those of interest to you, especially your local dive club. Always good to try a Search before starting a new thread, tho :search: and be careful about posting Threads & Replies without reading the Stickies at the tops of most forums. Click the link in my Sig below to PM me if I can help you around here..
