Just wanted to post my introduction....I'm Julie and I'm a new OW diver. My hubby works for the federal gov't, and we will be in Guam for 3-5 yrs. I'm a stay at home mom to Jack, age 5 and Emma, age 4. I was certified in August, and I've logged 11 dives so far. I'm hooked on diving now, and I'm trying to dive a couple of times a week. I found another preschool mom that can dive with me while our kids are in preschool, so we have gone out together several times now. She logged dive number 50 last week, so has more experience than me. We are very conservative and careful. On the weekends, hubby and I have gone on the dive boats together when we can get a babysitter.

I've lurked on the board for a couple of weeks. I found it while looking for info on regulator mouthpieces (I already chewed mine to pieces!!). What a great place for info! I've got soooo much to learn and really enjoy reading what other divers have to say. I was on the board last night reading about sea sickness. I found lots of good advice. On our boat dive last weekend, when I wasn't in the water, I was hanging over the side of the boat throwing up. UGH. We are scheduled for a boat dive on Saturday. With bad weather all around us, I'm sure we won't leave the harbor, but it will still be rough... if we make it out at all.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I look forward to reading and learning and being part of the online diving community.

Julie

Completing your Profile with location and seperately - your Dive Info will help in future diving discussions. You can use the Quick Links menu above for this. Sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message."

Hafa Julie,
From another Guam resident. I live all the way over on the other side of the island in Yona. The wife and I have been living and diving here since 1990. Enjoy your stay, no matter how long it is.

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
