Hello - I'm obviously new to the board, I stumbled across it searching for info on the Henderson Insta Dry wetsuits. I've already checked out a few forums and I'm really excited with what I've seen so far. I have an Oly C8080 so I'll probably be checking out that forum quite a bit. I live in Folsom, California where it's been a sweltering 100+ degrees here for several days. I know there's some great diving along the northern California coastline, but I've only dove there once. I was way too cold (54 degrees) and haven't been back yet. I have dove some interesting locations though - Cozumel a few times, the Philippines, Cook Islands twice, and most recently Bonaire. I'm headed back to the Philippines in November (it's the most amazing diving I've done so far).

Thanks in advance for all the wonderful info and insight I'm sure I'll glean from this board.

Hi Jeni and welcome to Scubaboard. Glad you like the place.
Looks like you are a WWW diver with plenty of dives in some really nice places.
I really like your comment on how fantastic the diving is in the PI's. My wife is from there and we have been toying with the idea of opening a dive shop there.

Welcome to the board. Be sure to drop down and visit the Northern Califonria board under Clubs, North America, California Kelp Divers.

7mm or dry suit is the California norm, but we do have some fantastic diving here. I have been diving with divers from Europe who flew to California to dive our kelp forrest. A good 7mm suit that fits properly should keep you warm.

Hey a fellow Folsom diver! Get in the water and beat the heat.

Welcome to the board.

i dove a lake in Reno
looking for lost dice
when the dive boat whistle blows
i hang my head and cry

welcome aboard!

I've dived your coast to 50 degrees. A little chilly, but I just wore all the neoprene I could, beanie, heavier gloves & botties, put warm water down the inside back of my wet suit - 12 dives in 2-1/2 days. Love it. Ladies often chill more easily, tho. :frosty:

This time Sunday, I hope to be in 85 degree water. I am so ready! Can you tell there's not much else on my mind.

Amnyway, hope to see you around the forums...

Hi there Jeni! I live in Sac and work in Rancho, so I'm not too far from you. Sounds like you've had some great diving experience!!! I have an Oly 5060 that I adore. Warmest water I've dived in was approximately 64 degrees though! Heh heh.

Welcome!

Hmmm... didn't know they let the inmates dive up in Folsom. Just teasing you, Jeni. Hope you enjoy "doing your time" on SB!
