Welcome to the boards. Since you are a "newbie", take a look at the Texas Swamp Divers. You will most likely find folks in the Texas as well as Dallas area that will help guide your decision and assist in your progress.

Thanks. I've already waited too long. I started taking a course when I was in college, but had to quit because of scheduling issues. This time I'm going to do it, and the wife is psyched too.
