Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

We have talked about diving dry up here and always end the conversation with "but it's so damn expensive". Would definitely love to discuss the experience and sites with you, though.

Are there any dive clubs in the Southcental area? I haven't asked at the LDS yet. If you Alaska folks want, sent me an email at ilee AT gci.net

Actually Snowbear...we could be easily talked into diving here. As long as I can be convinced of decent viz (because I like to see where I am) and not freezing my @#$ off.

Viz is usually plenty good enough to see what's living on the walls. Lately, 20' is a "bad viz" day....

To not freeze your patootie off, a drysuit and appropriate undies are definitely important! Once they take the class (Dive Alaska! is by far the best choice!) most folks find it takes 10-12 dives to really get comfortable and proficient with the drysuit..... That said, I would be happy to show you some of the shallower sites to get you comfy with the suit once you take the class :D

Sometimes the dive shops sell off their rental suits at pretty good prices, if you can't afford new retail prices :11:

Just don't let Snowbear talk you into trying a wet suit!....BTW Im still looking for the family jewels frozen off and lost somewhere in PWS.

:hmmm: Does that remark qualify under the new TOS for office appropriate?
I guess so....??
