Hello from Alabama. I dive at Alabama bluewater adventure in birmingham.I haven't dived the ocean yet but hoping to go dive the Keys next summer. When he's not being a teenager my oldest son dives with me.

Welcome to te 'Board! You ought to head down to the panhandle and try out the springs. The water is much warmer than at ABWA right now and is usually pristine.

Welcome and I have a son who has shown interest in diving...I guess my enthusiasm has finally worn him down!!! He is in the Marines and he says he is going to check into their training...if he goes for it I have no doubt it will be intense and he will be able to show me a thing or two and be a much better and experienced diver for it....something we can do together and who knows maybe he can get his brother involved.....

Nothing quite like the clear vis and diverse life in the ocean - it hooked me from the very first dive! You'll love it.

Welcome. I am from MS, and would recommend that you travel down to Pensacola and do some of the wrecks in that area. . . I think your son would get a BIG kick out of it. We don't do much diving around our area, and are moving to the Keys in a couple of months. . CAN'T WAIT

When you get a chance, check out my latest video, it will give you a glimpse of what is waiting for you out there YouTube - Manta Salsa Dancing on the Solmar V in Socorro Isles

Welcome to SB. While out in the Keys you may want to look into an AOW course. A night dive in particular may appeal to a teenager seeking a little adrenalin rush.

Welcome Gil,

Glad to have you on the board and hope to have you aboard when you make it to the Pensacola area. You are close enough for a easy weekend trip and we'd love to have you come see us. If I can answer any questions or provide any local area information, let me know. We've got lots to do and see. Hope you will come see us.
