just wanted to say hi to everyone out there. i've been lurking for the last few weeks, very interesting and informative. wife and i got ow certified last month in largo. i've already bought most of my equipment and can't wait to start getting dives under my belt(besides in my pool at home). I'd appreciate any info on diving in the ny/long island area. i'm not sure how willing my wife will be to dive around here in cold/low-viz, so i may be a single alot of the time. if there are groups that go out around here i'd love to hear about them. hope you don't mind dealing with a newbie who'll be asking tons of stupid questions. Thanks alot for any info you guys can give me. Now i'm going to go back to watching dir and non-dir bang heads. entertaining as hell!!

Welcome to the site!!! Lots to learn and see here. How was diving in Largo? I am thinking of going there in July. :scubadive

largo is beautiful, unfortunately it was windy all week so no dive boats went out. we had to get our ow cert dives in jules verne lagoon. better than nothing though(barely). my dad dives there all the time, loves it. thanks for the welcome
