Greetings earthlings- maybe not ALL

I was previously a member of scubaboard, but somehow got out of the swing of things. Life tends to get in the way of diving.

If anyone is in Orlando this Wednesday- Castaway Scuba on E. Colonial Dr will be hosting their montly dive club meeting and they are having AMELIA RESEARCH as guest speakers- they are a really cool bunch and have a whole lot of interesting things to talk about- come on down @ 7pm- see the website for more details.

In anycase, I work there on the weekends as my "fun" part time job.

I haven't actually had time to go diving because I was the genius that suggested to open the shop on Sundays, and volunteered to do it through the summer (busy time)- on top of my normal Saturdays there, and my "real" job M-F. :D

I love to work, but would rather not have to live to work- but i would rather work to live.

In another 2 months though I should have Sundays free again to join the clan underwater again- boy do i miss those days!! Marriage sure can kill a hobby/social life when all you do in your free time has to do with SCUBA and your spouse doesn't want to have anything to do with SCUBA- time to get my own life back!! I look forward to getting wet again though, regardless of what the husband says!!

Welcome back!

Yep, I hear ya. I've spent the last month, nearly every weekend diving. Trying to get my $()@#$ bouancy down. GGRRRR!!

My wife doesn't dive, and I've invited her on a couple, even if she sits and reads a book. She doesn't have any interest. But, in November we're going back to Cancun. She is a happy duck sitting by the pool, reading a book and wearing out the guy at the bar, while I'm trolling the reefs.

I'm with ya on the work thing, too. Too much work and no overtime....the joys of being salaried!

Hope you get back in the water soon!

Jack

Hi ScubaAngel831, Welcome back to Scubaboard and glad to hear you are getting your life back.

Too bad you couldn't think of your old UN and code, but hey - it's fun to be new again. We have forums for everything - including commercial announcements, and your local Florida dive club forum is a lively one you should check in on. Since you're spouse is not into diving, you're welcome on the Singles forum too.
