Wow, what a welcoming party 
So far this seems to be one of the nicest boards I have been on period, scuba related or not. Anyway, yah the Humble store is SSI, I spoke with them the other day. I am going through PADI and I signed up for the course last night I start August 26!!! I will keep everyone updated. Thanks yall.

Im sure I'll be fine on the course. If the fire training doesn't help I'm sure the Military Police Training will Anyway, thanks for the welcome. Glad to see another fellow Texan.

mrmonk7663:Hey everyone whats up. This is my introduction I suppose. My name is Mike and i'm a 22 year old from Houston, Texas. I am brand new to scuba diving, a friend just turned me on to it. I have snorkled in Ixtapa and Zijhanteneo but that's about it. I have used SCBA before when firefighting but never SCUBA. Anyway, I look forward to learning from everyone here. If all goes well I will begin my Padi Certification in 2 weeks

welcome to the board and good luck on your OW cert! it really shouldn't be that hard. just have fun!i think there are a lot of houston people around here, so they can tell you some good dive spots around there.
