Hi there

I'm researching for a filming trip to Yonaguni and have read the related threads. Would love to get in touch with some people who are willing to share their experiences there.

At the moment, I'm especially keen to know:
WHEN is best to go??
I've read that Dec - Feb is best for the hammerheads,
but weather/currents/visibility for the actual monuments - is summer (early August) ok?

Many thanks,
Susan

Hi Susan
Are you by any chance located in the UK? Did we speak?

If so, I have some additional information for you...PM me...

If not, Japan Diver is the source to consult about Yonaguni..

Best bet on hammerheads is Jan-Feb for peak season and best chance for filming. Monuments can be dove year round although we have had the best viz for filming in summer - July and August. Note- typhoon season goes from June thru Oct with the heaviest season mid Aug thru end Sept- but when there isn't a typhoon the viz and diving is awesome.

For more detailed info contact me via PM
