Hey, here's a thought:

Fill your BC with helium before packing. Shouldn't this lighten your load when weighing in at the airport???:shocked2:

Lol the idea sounds good not sure how effective it would be though.

Real answer: Yes, minutely- but it will decrease your luggage capacity dramatically.

As the Sundance Kid said, "You just keep thinkin', Butch. That's what you're good at."

;)

Ran some quick figures. Even with a large BC bladder you would reduce the weight of your luggage by less than an ounce. You'd probably improve things more by making sure everything you pack is fully dried out.

Wow, very impressive. I was just joking around. I wouldn't even begin to know how to figure it out.

I guess if an old man can make his house fly with balloons (UP) I figured a BC should subtract at least 15 lbs! :balloons:

LOL im curious, send it to mythbuster!!

They did one once where they determined it would take >3,500 helium balloons to lift a 40lb child off the ground.

When they are 40 pounds, they're mostly still kind of cute and do funny stuff. How many balloons to lift, say, a 95 pounder?

Doing the higher math... 8312.5 balloons!:D
