Heavy legs. Suggestions?

I messed up you are closer to 6’1”, I don’t know if you have something like piranha dive supply in your country but if you piece the backplate and wing together you may be surprised how little it costs and ...

I don't know that Pirana Dive ... we have others in Italy.

Anyway ... fact is, I'm still considering a couple different gear styles and I don't like throwing money out the window buying everything comes first to mind. Specifically, I'm seriously considering two systems at the moment: BPW and SideMount. Atill considering pro/cons of each.
I'm new to scuba so I'm not rushing into anything at the moment. Most of the gear I have right now are gifts from friends and fiancè. The serious stuff in the future will be paid by me ;-)

... you will likely see the greatest improvement with that than anything else.
I'm confident you're right there.
 
One other option to look at, is if you can attach trim pockets to the shoulders of your BC. That would allow moving weight higher on your torso while still having it accessible to ditch. For testing purposes, I would even consider using large zip ties to put some weight up there (if you can afford to have it non ditch-able), and then work a long term solution for maintaining whatever placement you settle on.

I try to hold my legs/feet up; and contract my butt also, that helps and yes it needs training because I don't find it so spontaneous as I would.

I don't have many pics of me in water ... this is what I got at hand now. Please don't be too brutal with your comments ;-)
The picture looks pretty good to me.

I don't see how, without mistreating the jacket :-(
If only I could find a couple 0.5Kg weights around, that would be a much lesser stress on those shoulders, and would allow me to check what happens with weights placed over there.

... if you can afford to have it non ditch-able...
I could, I would still have plenty on the waist to ditch just in case.

There are a lot of ways to adjust whether your head is falling down or floating up when you stop moving. Based on just this picture, the first step I'd recommend for you to stop rotating to a head up/feet down position would be to move your tank up some. Looks like there's a lot of room to move it up before it becomes an issue.

I was going to ask just that ... I did move the tank up in the past, so much that it started to touch my head while swimming; so I thought I put it back where it was suggested by the instructor in the first place.
On this pic though (which is recent) I see there's room for movement. I will defintely try moving it up again and see how much it helps.

2 to 4 lbs (1-2 kg) shouldn't hurt anything on the jacket (it supports the full weight of the tank when you are standing on land). Particularly if the load is distributed by 2 inch webbing. Attached are pictures I just took with an old SP jacket... I substituted my belt for the webbing to take a quick picture, but scraps from an old weight belt with tri-glides to secure them would do perfect. Picture is with a 2 lb weight, and a cheap ebay trim pocket that could be placed the same way.
