Will do.
For starters, book early! We couldn't find any affordable hotel options for 3 divers. As we looked for AirBNB or Vrbo options, they were getting booked right from under our noses.
We ended up selecting a Vrbo. It's in an area away from town. The streets are very narrow and the property doesn't have dedicated parking. We'll have to find parking somewhere down the street leading in or out of the community. We will be charged for our electricity usage after our stay. The owner will provide us with a parking permit given to locals.
We picked Soller Divers. They have two boats. They told us we did not have to book/pay in advance. We worked out the best deal for us, which was to buy our dives in bulk. We are planning for 12 dives each, a total of 36. If you buy at least 30 dives, they cost 31 eu each. My brother will do his AOW while we are there, which includes 5 dives. This means we are purchasing 31 dives to split amongst the 3 of us (12 for me, 12 for my cousin, and 7 for my brother). There is parking near the docks which I believe requires payment.
The boat departs every morning at 10 am 2 dives, meet at 9:15 am at the Dive Center. The boat returns around 1:30 pm. The afternoon trip departs at 4 pm, meet at the Dive Center at 3:30 pm for a 1 tank dive which returns to the dock around 5:30pm.
We expect the town to be very crowded in July.
We are renting a compact SUV. It's highly recommended to get full insurance coverage. My brother's American Express provides this for us; we aren't purchasing full coverage. Full coverage more than doubled the cost of the rental, which is concerning and leaves us with the impression that damage happens often.
I've been spending time studying the local street signs and colored line meanings. I found this guide helpful:
