Doing NACD Cavern this coming weekend down in High Springs area.

Any advice or hints on how to approach the course? Things that you were surprised at, or found to be more (or less) challenging than you thought going in?

In short, where are the "gotcha's" I should be on the lookout for?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or insights - Ray

Mostly relax and absorb the instruction. I will be right on your heals for finishing the last two days of full cave.

leave any BIG CAHONIES back at the house.... you're there to learn - half the 'fun' *IS* the gotcha's - that's part of the learning process. - i only *died* one time, others in the class *died* twice!

I remember Dying in the parking lot :eyebrow:

Damn blindfolded line follows through a spiderweb of cave line laid by 4 people. :shakehead

It was a blast.

Cheers :D

Dan Patterson

If it's the Dan Patterson I know, tell him "Hi!" for me.

He's a good instructor, I liked him alot. Good balance of humor and seriousness. Knows his s**t and he makes sure you know what you need to know when you are done.

Dan was my IANTD Adv. Nitrox and Deco instructor.
