Hello everybody

I'm going to Cancun the second week of September, I'll only stay five days, so I will be able to dive 2 days (wife is not a diver) according to this site the best reviews regarding operators are from Maya Aqua Dive, what do you guys think?

On the other hand; I usually dive with my own equipment, but its just 2 days of diving, 1 in a cenote, 1 in a wreck; I am planing to bring my own computer and gloves. Should I bring my own fins and mask too?

I wouldn't go without mine.

Specialy when doing cenote and wreck,I want stuff I know that works.

I agree. You are going on two confined environment dives, and the last thing you want to be doing is questioning your gear. I'd take all mine, if I were you, and feel more comfortable when you dive.

I agree with the others I would not dive without my own equipment. It is true the shops will all furnish equipment if you need but it is rental and not what you are used too. As good as MAD is and as good as the equipment is that they furnish, comfort is in what you use and own. At least take your own regulators, wouldn't leave home without mine.

Some of the rental equipment I've seen in Mexico is scary. I'd take my own or stay out of the water.

Thank you guys; I will take my own gear, safety first !

When traveling and diving I always take my mask and fins, backplate and regs. Basically, the only thing I do not take are tanks.

My kids however, have rented equipment from MAD and it is good condition. I check it out before they don it.

Hope you have a great trip, since your going when I am leaving. FYI: Ben's fiance is from Guadalajara, too. Great gal!
