Got a few dives and certifications under my weight belt and just found out about this site. I am heading to Thailand, Nov 1st, been there before but this is my first trip as a diver. This will also be my first salt water dives. Any advice, hints, tips, warnings or jokes would be a great help.

Welcome to the board!

Hi and welcome. Since you're in the big MO, check out our new Midwest Muck Divers forum. :D

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Glad you found us!

Dive safe!

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Hi there! My name is Kayla, and I have been diving for over two years now. I think that you will find a lot of great information on this board, and I hope that you will be able to post about some of your own experiences as well! (Can't wait to hear about the Thailand trip!) Send me a PM if I can help you with anything... I hope to get to know you better!

:happywave Hello there, welcome to Scuba Board! I came here looking for help with my scuba diving dream. Something I have wanted to do since I was a little kid. I have been impressed with the help I’ve received from here. You came to the right place to seek advice and see what other divers are up to. Take care from Matt. :walksmil:

Welcome to the board, I have no clue about Thai because I've never been there before so just have fun. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.

Howdy!

Just want to Join the others and add my welcome, too!

You asked for advice, and I cannot resist:

(1) Follow your training, even if it conflicts with the Dive Guide. And if you rental gear has any problems, don't bluff. Get it replaced. And don't even think of going with DAN insurance!

(2) You need to own and carry a Safethy Sausage and a Storm Whitle! 2 CDs glued back to back will work as a mirror signaler, and buy 4 weight belt keepers to carry in your bag, even if your BC is integrated.

PM me if I can help you find your way around here.
