Johnoly...I am the videographer, Ron takes stills with his Dslr.

cadacebot....I have tons of info on SCC on my trip reports on my website... also look at trip reports by jlyle. He goes there yearly for several weeks in August.
Biggest advice I can give you is to take a padlock for your dive locker, and do the shore dive often. It is easy diving and you never know what critter will be there each day, or school of critters, or who is out hunting, or .... and check out my videos.

Robin - we have a one day overlap of our stays at SCC - we arrive on September 20 and leave on the 1st - so we won't get to dive with you but perhaps can wave at dinner on our last and your first night!
Would love any tips you have on SCC also - it's our first time there. My first time diving in Cozumel also, James's third.
Candace

Hi Candace,

I have been to Scuba Club six times now. 7th trip planned for next March. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.

Dive safe !!

I agree....SCC is addictive. We love that the staff greets you the first day with "Welcome home!" We love that the DMs are more concerned with finding critters than seeing how much reef you can cover. And we love the bigger boats with the camera tables. I hate not having a table instead of just a rinse bucket or trying to hold my camera between my feet on a bumpy ride out and back to the reefs. I would like to put my camera on a stable surface, in the shade, and I can stand up or walk around....I don't care if it is 45+ minute ride out as long as I can do that.
Bouncing on a little fast boat with my camera gear bouncing (yes, we used to do that before we found SCC) is not for me, ever again.
And we love sitting out on the patio, eating lunch, oceanfront every day just 15 minutes after getting off the boat. I could go on....
So many things we love about SCC...it isn't fancy, but it feels like staying with family.

Yes, it does feel like "coming home." Most of the staff was the same as on my first visit plus I saw several divers who were there the previous year (both times early December). It's great to come back from the dive and go have a great lunch without leaving the property. I like boats so I actually enjoy the rides to the dive spots. I met many people who have been going there for many years. Chedraui is only a few blocks away and MEGA about one block further.

About the only thing that I changed on my last trip was to opt out of the dinners. Although they are very good, there are so many great places to eat that are just a short walk away that we just can't resist. And if you don't feel like walking back taxis are cheap and plentiful.

I sure hope SWA expands its carib flight schedule soon! they need some Cozumel flights soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For sure. They don't seem to be very motivated to fly to Hawai'i but they have the planes and have trained their crews.

Somewhere there is a place to suggest new destinations but I can't seem to find it. If everyone on SB would suggest CZM then who knows, they might add it :)
