I'm headed to Cobo San Lucus end of April. Can anyone recommend a good Dive operator in that area. Also I would like to dive a wreck or two, but I've had some difficulty finding info. Most dives seem to be geared for the masses.

Anyhelp would be appreciated, Glenn

not sure about the wreck dives, I was told there are no worthwhile wrecks in that area. I dove with Amigos Del Mar and I can recommend them, they are a small shop but excellent service. I heard Manta divers is also pretty good and it's right next to Amigos Del Mar and seemed like a larger operation.

Thanks, I'll look them up. I look them up.

I also would recommend Amigos Del Mar. I have dove with them numerous time and have found them to be a great operation. Good DM's with tons of local knowledge. I would suggest diving the Arch wall. Enjoy.

Even though it's a daytrip... I'd book a dive for Cabo Pulmo, hands down the best diving in the area. Have fun!!

There has to be a lot of wrecks very close to Cabo. Cabo used to be the point where all the Spanish ships from the Philippines had to make landfall. Once that was common knowledge, pirates liked to hang out there. The problem is that the water gets deep very fast, so the wrecks are very deep.

Cabo is great for two things, fishing and golf.

While you are there, be sure to take a water taxi to Lover's Beach and walk over to Widow's Beach. The rocks are amazing. Two best places in town for dinner are Mocambo Marriscabo and Casa Rapheal.

Another vote for Amigos Del Mar. My favourite site is the Sea Lion colony/Land's End dive, especially if the sealions come out to play.

Hi,
We dove Cabo this September. Pretty good . The area near the arches has several sites all good-Neptunes finger, North Wall , Lands End. All have some fish, sea lions , cormoran birds, nice deep walls, and some current. I did not dive w/ amigos, but would vote for them also. My dive op was not the best . Since we had dove with them in the past years I think he is getting out of the business. Try to stay away from shops that do the cruise ships or you will be on a real cattle run. I researched Gordo Banks - most said not worth the $$ and the hour ride for what you see. We did have a great time in Cabo Pulmo. We had a car. It is a good one and a half hour drive from Cabo - all highway. I dove w/ Vista Sea Sport . They were great. You could get up super early drive down ,dive and drive back or stay overnight. It is real mellow and probably what Cabo was 25 years ago. Any other questions I will be happy to help-been going there 10 years , diving for 4.Have fun - zin fin

My son and I did two dives in Cabo several weeks ago and used MANTA. Its a PADI outfit and is located close to where our cruise ship (The Radiance of the Seas) docked.
The dives were good and the staff was very professional. We had a great time.

We just dove with Amigos del mar in Cabo. The divemaster and boat captain were really helpful. Don't miss diving the point- the sea lions were awesome. I don't think that they do trips up to Cabo Pulmo this time of year.
