Congrats and best wishes!!! no other christmas gifts can ever top this year's one i'm sure :)

heheh actually a mini underwater ceremony would be really cool. Have fun during the planning stage, whilst it can get really stressful at times, i am sure you will have a wonderful wedding!

Congrats to you and hubby to be...:balloon: I am sure he has found his perfect:angel:

Best of luck !!!

I really appreciate all the encouraging words! We went to a bridal show Sunday to get some ideas and basically found out that I need to choose a dress, invitations, get a dj and photographer, etc. by like TOMORROW! Hey, guess it's a good thing I like a challenge! :boom: June 22, 2002 11:30am :boom:

That's w-day when all must come together whether we're ready or not! He's talking about throwing me in his mom's pond after the vows (hoping to set the ceremony beside a body of water!). I wonder if there are such things as rental wedding gowns and if the renter minds if they get it back wet!

NetDoc, I hope it doesn't end up on the "dumbest things I've ever done" thread afterwards! If my co-workers show up he might want to divorce me after he sees how we all dance to "Doin' Tha Butt" (if the dj has that one).

ScubaBurt, maybe it was the Texas Swamp divers t-shirt I bought! Everyone likes the high heels photo but Bruce sure howled when I asked him to take it! Guess that was just a little jealousy on his part since it was for a joke directed at a male co-worker (who's old enough to be my dad) who knows nothing about diving! I might blow the photo up and frame it for a wedding gift for Bruce, I did that with a photo of the two of us in Mexico and he loved it.

My congratulations to both of you !

Ber,

I don't know if anyone does it in Ohio, but in California, they really do rent wedding dresses. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than going out and buying one and then you don't have to worry about storing it after the wedding. You still have the memories in your pictures without the hassle of having to have it cleaned, sealed and then finding a place to keep it.

I just did a quick search for "wedding dress rental" at Google and got a ton of listings back, so I am pretty sure you can find someone in your area if that is something you might seriously consider.

Good luck,

Thanks Ladydiver, I'll have to see what I can find in my area. The last thing I need is more "stuff" lying around and a wedding dress that gets used once counts as "stuff"! We've booked the dj and the photographer so far! We don't need a hall since we'll get married by his parent's pond then have the reception in their yard, just have to rent a tent or two! Found invitations at the local office supply store, nothing super fancy but they're pretty and I can print them myself! People just throw them away anyhow, no sense putting too much money into them.

Must be on my planning way!
