Hawes Light

Does anyone have any information about Hawes Lights? I actually wanted to buy another one but found out no one is making them anymore. Is there a shop that has parts if I need them. I'd like to stock up now before I need any.

After his initial production run that was pretty well-received, he was out-of-stock for a long time. Now his domain name is available, so I guess things didn't work out. I'm not sure what kind of parts you're going to need for an HID light - pretty much anything esoteric can be scrounged up online somewhere like McMaster-Carr.

Thanks for the reply Tom. I've had the light for about a year and a half. I haven't had any problems, yet. "yet" is the key word here. I was hoping someone took over his production and had parts such as the glass lens and o-rings.

Hawes was one of a handful of small light manufacturers that was effectively forced to shut down due to the Sartek patent lawsuit. From what I was told, his settlement with Sartek forbids him to build new lights, or even to service the ones he had already sold.
