I have mine on over a dozen trips - last one in March, usually not even removing the valve. The TSA never has been clear on this. Leaving for Utila soon. Anyone flown theirs lately...?

Anyone know any first hand or confirmable stories of any problems

thanks

Don -- No current experience, but the current TSA guidance is not ambiguous http://www.tsa.gov/public/interapp/editorial/editorial_1190.xml Valve removed for transport, to permit inspection, screeners required to do a visual to make sure nothing prohibited is inside.
(might want to switch from using electrical tape to a clear freezer bag held on by a rubber band)

I took mine to Roatan from Houston in late May. Valve removed, in my carry-on with a copy of the TSA regulations wrapped around the pony.
No problems, other than trying to get everything back into the bag after the hand inspection.

Hey guys - thanks for those two posts. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks...!! :35:

I just got back this morning from a month in PNG with my pony. I, also, tape the TSA regs on the bottle, not that it would help if Quantas (THE NAZIS!!) decide to take offense. Just take the valve off. Don't risk going against their written regulation by not removing it.
