I dove Utila a few times, but definitely not the best sites (especially compared to diving Lighthouse Reef in Belize where I spent most of my two months in the two countries). I know there were much better dive sites than I was able to try. We could only dive within an easy Zodiac ride of the cruise ship which was at the dock.
The hour I spent on land in Utila did convince me I will want to return there to dive some of the better sites and enjoy the small town atmosphere. I liked what I saw there.
