I think it was about $1800 to rebuild and prep for oxygen service. (Parts and labor)

and if i did it myself?

Let Perry do it at HPT. You will be happy, not sorry.
He did my Gas Transfer System and it sings now.

Actually, I called them, and several weeks/several phone calls later, they still couldn't be bothered to call me back.

Dear Superlyte27:

My sincere apologies that your Haskel booster inquiry wasn't handled promptly or apparently not at all. Most sales/service inquiries, via email, are directed to me. So I'm probably to blame, depending upon method of contacting us you used. We offer email, fax and an 800 number (800-523-7222) to make contact with us.

We service/rebuild a lot of Haskel boosters, those we buy used to resale and from owners of Haskels. We've been doing this for about 20+ years now. We do about $5,000,000 in sales and service annually. Try as we do, we will not meet all the expectations of all the people who contact us, all the time. However, we do try to.

We currently have about 10 units to overhaul, including three from the military. We have rebuilt units on our web site to purchase. We are not the cheapest source for Haskel boosters but we are very dedicated to providing a dependable unit to our Haskel booster buyers.

If I can be of any future assistance, please call or email me.

God bless and safe diving...........ray@americanairworks.com (NAUI 5939 retired)

We just contacted Airworks about one of our two haskel pumps. They returned our call immediately and after conversation it it turns out it is less expensive to have them rebuilt it than what it might cost us if we order the parts and do it ourselves.
We are shipping ours out this week for total sevice. Good luck !!!!

I've always done my own military surplus Haskels, but if you are at all concerned, I would send it off to Ray. There is a learning curve to doing it, while not steep, can be expensive (I broke the plunger cup because I did step 14a before step 13c. I didn't really think it would matter. It does. They are set up to do it, and you know it will come back right.
