I'm a Fish!
hello all
I’m running my 15/30 off a scuba cylinder ( well many of them) any one ever get the air drive system to freeze up on them. I assume I was just. Going to fast.

I've wondered about freezing, as I run my air drive off a first stage, and its iced up, but the air from the cylinders have a very low dewpoint, or should be, as it had been through a dryer.

Freezing the haskel or the 1st stage? I've had my booster get a nice ice crust on it. It's really no big deal, expanding gas get's cold. Scuba regulator might not be able to deliver that much air way down cold, IDK. Scuba air is expensive to compress and clean only to bring it back down to 140 for a booster. Good shop air is more economical when not in the field.

I run it from
The first stage to a low psi dryer/regulator ( it came with the unit) and the Dyer/ regulator was freezing up plus air drive tubes. The unit was just rebuilt from a dealer. But I found that the air drive seals a little dry and added lube. I might just ditch the Dyer/ reg and adjust the IP of the reg if I need more psi ( running it at 90 psi and no stall yet)

Lube? As in oil? You should not be adding lubricants to (any) booster's drive gas.
