Is anyone using a Haskel Mini Sport Booster? I am interested in your experiences and opinions.

My interest would be in boosting O2 for deco bottles, mix and nitrox fills. It would not see heavy use. Might want to transfer mix to top off doubles as well.

How well does using an AL 80 work for drive gas?

Thanks

Unless just doing small bottles you may want to consider something larger like the Haskel AG-30. Welcome To HPT sells rebuilt units at a fair price.
I've had mine 3yrs now and works great.

I have two. I mainly use them for rebreather cylinders but also fill AL 40's and 80's with O2 sometimes. It works good when the supply cylinder is above 800psi. No complaints so far.

Forget the AL80 for drive gas, you need WAY more drive gas than that to get anything done even in AL40 deco bottles. I have an HI which is also a single stage booster (20:1, 150psi drive) and it wants about 8cfm/min for drive gas. The Mini-sport is similar with a 24:1 ratio and 140psi drive gas. You'll be sucking down AL80s big time. You really need a shop compressor to drive any kind of booster. Or a very large HP compressor and a bank.

Forget the Al 80 use a oilless compressor much better. I use a jetsum and love it...

Why oil less?

What size compressor are you using?

Does not REQUIRE oiless. That said I have an oiless Dewalt that barely keeps up at 5cfm with the HI3 single stage booster I mentioned. I got it because its one of the few able to output at 150psi which is required to get to 2900ish psi.
