Looking into taking my cousin this weekend for his first dive for some fossils. Has the layer of silt covering everything dissapated at Servicemens Park as well as Venice Public Beach?

Thanks,

Ron

Went out with Jamie last weekend. The urchin spines had silt on them. Good thing, though, when we we hit 5' vis it was awesome and much appreciated!

I kinda think the silt is patchy... But Jamie is spot on with the viz sucking off the beach... last 2-3 weeks most divers have been calling the dives... you gotta get out to @ least to 20 fsw to start getting decent viz.... :blinking:

I was at the blocks at S.Brohard & vis was 7-9ft. I did Venice Public Beach Reef last weekend & vis was again 7-9ft. I have been staying away from Alhambra & Sharky's because viz has been poor there all summer. I don't do Service Club because I use a kayak but it's right next to Sharky's so I'm assuming it's silted as well.
