If you want to get really fancy. You can pick up a Grommet Kit and put a nice grommet in the middle as apposed to just burning a hole.

And, it should be SS, not brass or chrom plated, specially for a salt water.... Mine is all SS grommet......

How important is it to have bent d-rings on the shoulders. My LDS only had straight ones.

My new crotch strap is of the same material than the rest of the webbing and around the triglide it sticks out like a tail.
That's gotta hurt ... I would recommend finding a nice, soft material for the crotch strap (or better yet, just buy one from DiveRite Express or some such). Then you won't have the "ducktail" issue, and you'll be way more comfy ...

As long as you can clip off one handed it's no big deal. The bend just makes clipping a bit easier. If you want to bend them just clamp the straight part in a bench vise with all but ~ 3/8 sticking out. The 3/16 or 5 mm wire ones can almost be bent by hand, the 1/4" or 6 mm need to be tapped with a hammer. SS is very ductile and bends easily. 'Bout 30 degrees is plenty, not really critical.

cool thats what I thought about doing. just making sure. Thanks

I'd recommend getting ~4' of softer webbing for the crotch strap. Tobin

Tobin, what is the exact reference of crotch strap?

What materials?

I have enjoyed your 2 inch webbing though...

I'm not sure I understand your question. Webbing is huge field, amny types and materials available.

We use "softedge weave" nylon for our crotch straps. This differs from the stiff resin reinforced webbing typically used for weight belts and harnesses.

You can make crotch straps from resin reinforced, and with enough exposure suit it may not matter, but I prefer the softer webbing.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried to get the soft crotch strap, but it has been hard to find the right one by only reading the description on the website.

So, I am wondering what tensile, denier, and material it is.....
