Spent about 2-3 hrs setting up the rig. DSS medium SS BP, LCD30 wing...

(I'm 178lbs, 7mm exposure suit, HP100 steel, 6 lbs weight belt)

Jumped in the water next day. Felt like freediving, the rig is so streamlined. I was smiling while doing dolphin kicks and gliding through the water... :D

I'm in the process of selling my good old BCD (it costs about $700 new).
It took me almost 10 dives to get my trim worked out with that BCD.
With the new rig, I was horizontal effortlessly in 2 seconds after I got
in the water first time with it.

I'll never fall for the dark side again. :eyebrow:

Very cool,

Glad to hear the gear is working out for you. One of the key benefits of a BP&W is the ~6lbs of ballast the SS backplate puts up over your buoyant lungs.

Your prior experience with your BC, and just knowing what good horizontal trim feels like, probably help with your transition.
