Thanks everyone! It's been a quiet day. But when you get this old you can't stand too much excitement anyway.....

Wally, we started class with Rick in the fall. We'll be finishing up on some dives in the great lakes. Then hopefully doing trimix coursework and completing the diving in August during a trip to Canada.

Same trip that I am looking at doing Adv. Nitrox and Deco on.

Thanks DB and Tammy. It was a quiet day.....except for all the teenagers in the house!!!:))

So did you sign up to take your class yet, Wally?

Yep, signed up for both!! Dates for the Adv. nitrox/ deco aren't set in stone yet. We are planning on the final dives being during the trip.
If all else fails it will be a good butt kicking. If I can pass the intro to tech then I think I have it whooped.
The AL40 is on its way and the DIN conversion for my SP MK2+ will be ordered...maybe later tonight.

I'm jealous, You're going to finish Adv. Nitrox before me?:11: Oh well, I need to dive my doubles a bunch first. I still have yet to nail down my buoyancy control & learn to better balance them (I still use my hands waaaay too much:shakehead:). I'm hoping to be able to do it this late spring or this summer. Good luck to you:wink:.

I am HOPING that I finish my class before you. Just because I am going to take it doesn't mean that I will pass it. I feel pretty good about it but one never knows. I still need to work on my skills a bit...one reason that I want to take the intro to tech class.

I understand where you're coming from. I've seen & heard of what my instructor expects during the Adv. Nitrox OW dives & I found out, I don't want to do it alone (He'll run you through the mill & back again). So far I only have about a dozen dives in my doubles & with my new dry suit & undergarment, plus I've been diving lately with some newbies (not that there's anything wrong with that, I just can't practice some things because If I got into trouble they wouldn't know how to help me). I have really been struggling to get things smoothed out. Hoping I can get my instructor to dive with me sometime soon & help me out a tad.
