Dr. Miller,

I'm looking at my copy of We Came From the Sea, by Dr. Hans Hass. In it, he has photos that look a lot like some of the Cousteau photos shown in The Silent World. Was Jacques Cousteau aware of Dr. Hass' work, and if so did he copy some of the techniques that Dr. Hass pioneered for his film-making?

The Hasses were far more popular in Europe than in the US, so I am sure Cousteau was aware of their work.
