I know you aren't suppose to use a regular clothes hanger because it is too narrow.
I was walking around in a store today and they were selling bundles of wooden clothes hangers, 13 hangers for 2 or 3 dollars.
I was wondering if I could tape or glue 4 or 5 of these together to make a single wetsuit hanger. They sloped off well, kinda like these:

What do you think?
(I know I sound like a mizer, but every little bit of money saved helps in this gear intensive hobby.)
Thanks,
Spencer

I had some foam insulation tubing about 2" dia. normally used to put around water pipes. It is split lengthwise and can be placed over the hanger. It is soft and flexible and pretty cheap and can be found at Home Depot or similar place.

Not to squish your DIY spirt, but a simple hanger like this cost $5!

I got a wooden hanger from K-mart. It was just a few bucks, 1 1/4" thick, and plenty strong enough for my soaking wet wetsuit. The down side for me is that it has that crazy old bag jailbird's name on it - Martha Stewart! Eeeek! Anyway, it has the perfect slope and you can get others to hang boots, gloves, whatever.:D

Go get a kids pool noodle, cut 2 6"-8" pieces, cut them down one side and slide over your plastic hangar. Very cheap and sold at most stores.

Think I have a few of those in the garage.
Thanks,

Well since I have lots of gear I picked up 3 of those hanger packs from leisurepro plus buying some extras, I own 11 of those fancy wetsuit hangers now and they work nice and really are not that expensive. Wait til you need to order a bunch of stuff than just add a couple hangers.

A trip to Home Depot and five dollars gives you this, there is not a wet suit around that will bend this. And no hanger spikes on your shoulders.
