I was using one of those thick plastic coat hangers from walmart to hang my bc up with... it broke. I was wondering what types of hangers other had tried to worked well and had to duribility to hold up.

The following are two excellent choices and I own them both.

XS Scuba Folding BC Travel Hanger

The XS Scuba Folding BC Hanger would be an excellent choice both at home and when traveling. It is very strong and folds up very compactly for traveling. I take one of these with me on vacation for each of the family's three BCs. It should be noted that the BCs are not travel BCs. They are the same BCs we use for diving in New England (Aeris ATMOS XT & two ScubaPro LadyHawk BCs). The hook portion of the hanger also rotates 360⁰ which makes it possible to hang it in several creative places that would not be possible using a hanger with a non-rotating hook.

If this hanger existed 4 years ago I would have bought it instead of the UK BC hanger mentioned below.

XS Scuba also makes a folding wet suit hanger which I also take on vacation for each of the wet suits.

Underwater Kinetics (UK) BC Hanger

This BC hanger is very sturdy but not very well suited for travel when compared to the XS Scuba Folding BC Hanger. I bought this hanger 4 years ago before the XS Scuba Folding BC Hanger had been invented.

I'll second the recommendation for the XS Scuba folding hanger. Sturdy, well made and well designed.

The XS is nice and you can fold it for easy packing. Almost as good as sliced bread.
