What could the problem possibly be?? Ha Ha Ha Ha........

...
The gesture/sign for "tank/cylinder" on page 21 is open to some heavy misinterpretation though... especially if diving with a British diver! LOL
That one was used by one of the regular divers on one of my favorite locations (and yeah, they where both british).
Someone was constantly shaking a rattle on one of the dive sites, so she pointed to him, and did the "cylinder sign" on page 21 just that she meant to describe the rattle.
When he got back to the boat he goes "What do you mean? You mean to ask if im wanking or are you calling me a wanker!?"

AJ, No wonder I have been having a hard time communicating with my buddy. Damn. I also notice when I bring some Navy divers along they always like doing the hand signal in the bottom row in the middle.

I can't imagine me giving a dive briefing and showing this "hand" signal anywhere.

:)

I'm sure it would be appropriate at some point. Just don't do it on someone's 100th dive and I think you're okay.

I guess the 100th dive tradition is more alive and well than I thought!

My 100th I have to admitt was just another dive. Nobody ever knew about it till 3 dives later :p

My 100th was a cave dive. No way in hell I was going in 72 degree water in the traditional fashion!! LOL..

My 100th SM dive is coming up though, and I might just have to carry on this tradition in the 85* water here. :)

Look up scubahannah on YouTube. She has a series on basic hand signals. My buddy/wife cane up with the same signal for cleaning station with the washing of the armpits, lol. We have several we've cone up with for different situations we've run in to.

Does anyone have one for tarpon? We were trying to come up with one?

My new favorite is "big f'in grouper"
