Hamworthy BP3 / Bristol Compressor Manuals

Hi everyone

I’ve recently purchased a Hamworthy BP3 single phase electric compressor. The compressor unit is a Bristol Pneumatics 3S-4-40, but I can’t seem to find any information or manuals for this unit anywhere, I don’t suppose anyone has a copy or knows where I may find one?

I’ve sourced new filters which is fine but noticed there seems to be a bit of oil coming thru the coil from the last stage into the filter housing so looking like a refurb is imminent and I’m assuming that’s not normal.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

sounds like it needs a ring job on the pistons which essentially means a full rebuild. The guy you need to contact is Colin Bruce. He's in Horsham and is the Hamworthy guru
