Hello all,

I have a bit of a problem and need to get this resolved if at all possible. In 2001 I purchased an isolator plus the left and right post for my AL 80s from Halcyon. Just recently, I had an accident to where my right post was hit (out of the water with no reg or DIN plug in place) and it caused a defect in the threads to where I can no longer screw my DIN regulator into this valve so I need to replace it.

Well, I called Extreme Exposure to get a new one only to find out that Halcyon does not sell either post separately. My only option i was told by Andrew was to buy a complete setup again - $279. :(

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Most if not all other manufacturers sell the right and left post separately but according to Andrew, not Halcyon.

Is there are real reason? Is there another valve I can use that will fit on the Halcyon isolator?

Please let me know.

thanks

Layne

Layne, sorry to hear this....you have had a couple of 'scuba gremlins' of late---dang,,,,least your getting rid of them yearly in the year-lol.

I have not a clue to your question...I will though watch the replies and learn also.

Good luck!

;)

**PS-- is that you over on DS as DB??

yeah, that is me over there. LVX got banned a few years back because I got in a fight with someone who had pull.

Not to worry. I found the valve I was looking for.
