Well that kinda sucks, I was thinking that might be the perfect thing for travel. Maybe if I am lucky I can pick one up on Ebay.;-0

I have a 27lb wing and have taken it to the Great BArrier Reef and to Indonesia and had no issues with the size of it. It wraps nicely round the back plate and sort of makes for a nice bunddle of equipment.

A flat wing is a flat wing, there's very little difference travelling with an 18 and soemthing bigger.

I have the 18 and it has a very, very narrow application. It's for extremely warm water with little or no thermal protection.

That said, the few times I get to wear mine, it's really nice having that small a wing! Knowing what I know now, however, I'd probably just go for a larger lift wing.

I've travelled with my 36 lb. Pioneer and it packed up very nicely. Between the backplate, the regulators, the harness, the lights, and an STA, I doubt that a smaller wing would make all that big a difference from the perspective of transportability. I would go with a smaller wing if I bought a new one. I think Halcyon may be releasing their new design single tank wings at DEMA. They come in 30 and 40 lb. sizes, according to the UK web site.

Well currently I dive a deep outdoors 40lb wing. Its nice but I don't need anywhere near that amount of lift in the carribean and i am thinking a smalled wing would be more stremlined. I'm anxious to see the new designs when they come out.

I've heard rumors of some wings being released at DEMA in a few weeks - might be worth waiting to see what comes out.
Any news about multi-gas computers? I guess the week of DEMA is just starting.
